Our Story

Opened in 1949 by the Corral family, Los Corrals is one of Kansas City's first Mexican restaurants. For over 70 years, we've been serving up deep fried tacos and pork burrito spreads with hot, fresh chips and hard-to-beat margaritas. The original location (pictured above) was just blocks away from the current 9th street location where we've been since 1964.

Once occupying only one dining room, in time Los Corrals grew to fill the entire building, built in 1889. You can find the  colorful red and green corner spot in the historic Garment District. Inside, the walls feature the works of local Hispanic artists, Mexican artifacts, margarita cards, vintage neon signs, local sports memorabilia and plenty of TVs. (Join us to watch the game!)

Los Corrals is a popular place for working lunches, weekly get-togethers, first dates, and family celebrations. We hope to see you soon.
